1. About This Website
Dedham Residents Directory is a private reference service. It describes and links to public rolls, indexed records, and directory collections that may identify current or former Dedham, Massachusetts residents. We do not host government records and have no affiliation with a government office, court, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use this site only for lawful purposes. You may not use the site or material reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Find a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit fraud or identity theft
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions about credit, employment, tenant, or insurance matters
- Scrape, systematically copy, or republish site content at scale
- Disrupt the operation or security of the site
3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., defines that term. Nothing on this site, or returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Third-Party Services
Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search providers, apply their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control or guarantee their content, availability, prices, or data handling.
5. No Warranties
This site is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that its information is complete, accurate, or current, or that any linked portal will operate or return correct results.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from your use of this site or a linked resource, including a decision made using records reached through it.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the site operators from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from your misuse of the site or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The site’s original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to pages and quote brief attributed excerpts, but you may not republish full pages or systematically copy site content.
9. Term Updates
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use following a revision is acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Restricting Access
We may block or limit access, without notice and at our discretion, when a user violates these terms or misuses the site.
11. Massachusetts Law
These terms are governed by Massachusetts law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Access to government records is governed in relevant part by the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66 §10, M.G.L. c.4 §7(26), and 950 CMR 32. Those provisions do not override record-specific exemptions. Central voter-registry information is separately addressed by M.G.L. c.51 §47C, and the Address Confidentiality Program is governed by M.G.L. c.9A and 950 CMR 130.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
